Kay Hambrick
Kay Hambrick went to elementary school with Robert Morgan in the mid-1950s. By the 1960s Kay and Bob had become hippies, living in the “Mushroom House” on Maxwell Street. During this time they met Emily Reeves. Emily and Kay went to Woodstock together in 1969. Later, as a student, Kay tried to sue the state of Kentucky over medical malpractice, causing her name and status as an unwed mother to make the front page of the local newspaper. Kay was a good friend of Henry Faulkner’s, often taking him to gallery openings in Louisville and Cincinnati, and taking care of his animals while out of town.
